About Fairhope
Fairhope, Alabama sits on a bluff above the eastern shore of Mobile Bay in Baldwin County. Settled as a utopian single-tax colony in 1894, it has grown into one of the most charming and artistic small towns in the American South.
The town faces west across Mobile Bay — which means every clear evening, the sky ignites in shades of amber, gold and crimson as the sun sets over the water. This is what I have spent years photographing here.
